How SkillMill works

No long video courses. You finish every sprint with something real, reviewed by a human, and saved to a portfolio you can share.

Step 1

Choose a Skill Sprint

Filter by category, difficulty and the time you have. Every sprint tells you upfront what you will build and which skills it proves.

Step 2

Build something practical

Follow the step-by-step challenge with templates and examples. You work on a real problem, not a quiz.

Step 3

Submit your proof

Upload a file or paste a link, answer the reflection question, and confirm the work is your own. Save a draft any time.

Step 4

Earn a badge and grow your portfolio

A reviewer scores your work against four criteria and writes feedback. Approved work earns a badge and can be published to your portfolio.

Assessment

One rubric, used on every submission

Each criterion is scored from 1 to 5, then converted to a score out of 100.

Problem clarity

Is the problem or task described precisely and honestly?

Originality

Does the work show your own thinking rather than a copied template?

Practicality

Could this actually be used or tested in the real world?

Communication

Is it easy to follow for someone seeing it for the first time?

Feedback you can act on

Reviewers must say what worked, what to change and one thing to try in your next sprint. If work needs more effort, you get a revision request instead of a fail.
